I got a box, and put the strip around the entire box. Can anyone explain? Are these LED strips just too low power?
So I put down some reflective silver tape around the outside of my curing container, and placed 1m worth of 12v UV LED strip around the outside and turned it on to cure my test Ring print, so far its been sitting in there for 8hrs and the surface is still tacky! Did you check that your LED strip is the right wavelength? I put the ring in my curing jar for about an hour and that was enough.
A UV Strip is essential protection for furling sail left exposed to the sun when not being used. Whilst your main sail should be protected with a sail-cover a UV protective strip is the usual way to keep the sun away from load-bearing cloth in a furled headsail. Unfortunately though, they will compromise the shape of a reefed sail by padding out the leech and foot, thereby encouraging a fuller luff, which is why true racing boats never have UV strips. However, for the average cruising sailor a lightweight, UV material sewn onto leech of a sail is more convenient than stowing the sails at the end of every cruise or hoisting a sock over the rolled sail.
